Plan Exit and Member Coverage

What happened to Clear Spring Health?

Clear Spring Health made the decision to exit the Medicare Advantage business. All Clear Spring Health plans will terminate on May 31, 2026.

When will Clear Spring Health members be notified about the plan termination?

Clear Spring Health members will receive written notification by mail between May 6 and May 11, 2026. Members will also begin receiving phone outreach from Clear Spring Health starting Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

When will Clear Spring Health members' coverage end?

Clear Spring Health member coverage will end on May 31, 2026.

Will Clear Spring Health members be able to use their benefits in May?

Yes. Clear Spring Health members retain full access to their benefits through May 31, 2026. There is no disruption to coverage during the month of May. Agents should encourage their Clear Spring Health members to continue using their benefits as normal.

Will Clear Spring Health continue to process claims?

Yes. Clear Spring Health systems have been restored and the claims backlog is actively being processed. Clear Spring Health will continue to process all claims through the end of the coverage period.


Special Enrollment Period and Plan Transition

Is there a Special Enrollment Period for Clear Spring Health members?

Yes. All Clear Spring Health members will have a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) through July 31, 2026, to select a new plan.

What happens if a Clear Spring Health member does not select a new plan by May 31, 2026?

Members who do not select a new plan by May 31, 2026, will revert to Original Medicare and will be automatically enrolled in the Humana Basic Rx Plan by CMS. Members who are auto-enrolled retain the right to choose a different plan through July 31, 2026.

Will I still have access to the Evolve portal?

Yes. The Evolve portal will remain accessible through May 31, 2026.

Commissions and Chargebacks

Will I be compensated for all of my Clear Spring Health enrollments?

Yes. Agents will receive a final reconciliation payment in early August 2026, including pro-rated May effective enrollments and completed Health Risk Assessments (HRAs).

Will I be charged back for April and May effective enrollments?

No. Members affected by the Clear Spring Health plan termination will not incur chargebacks.

Will Clear Spring Health recover the advanced commissions paid for June through December?

No. Clear Spring Health will not perform any chargebacks on advanced commissions previously paid for June through December.

Will I be paid for May renewals on my current Clear Spring Health book of business?

Yes. All renewals with an effective date prior to May 31, 2026, will be paid.
