How to Report a Change of Income for an ACA Client in MyMFG

Step-by-step instructions for agents to update a client's income in MyMFG and apply the change to their ACA enrollment.

Written by Micaela Caruccio

When an ACA client's income changes during the year, agents must update the client's eligibility application in MyMFG. Reporting a change of income does not require or trigger a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

Steps to Report a Change of Income

  1. Log in to MyMFG and locate the client's profile.

  2. Open the client's eligibility application.

  3. Update the income information on the eligibility application.

  4. Submit the updated eligibility application. The new Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) and Cost-Sharing Reduction (CSR) amounts will be reflected in the eligibility results.

  5. On the eligibility overview page, click the Change or Edit Plan button to apply the updated eligibility to the client's enrollment.

  6. Re-select the client's current plan or select a new plan, then complete the enrollment.

The updated subsidy amount will be reflected on the client's account in line with the effective date of the enrollment once it is accepted by the carrier.
