The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires agents to obtain consent when assisting clients with an Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace enrollments.
MyMFG makes compliance easier by embedding these consents directly into the quote and enrollment workflow.
ACA CLIENT ACCESS CONSENT:
What it does:
Gives the client control over who can access their Marketplace information and for what purpose.
Why it matters:
You cannot legally access or assist with their ACA application without this authorization.
Where to find it in MyMFG:
CLIENT tab → CLIENT SIGNATURES → ACA CLIENT CONSENT
ACA CLIENT ELIGIBILITY CONSENT:
What it does:
Allows the client to explicitly agree that you (the agent/broker) can:
Access their personal Marketplace information
Assist with completing the eligibility application
Submit information on their behalf
This ensures transparency and confirms the accuracy of submitted data.
Where it appears in MyMFG:
During the ACA eligibility application review, before downloading the eligibility notice.
ACA CLIENT ENROLLMENT CONSENT:
What it does:
Confirms the client agrees to the specific plan selection and authorizes you to submit the enrollment on their behalf.
This protects:
The consumer’s privacy
The agent’s compliance
The integrity of the enrollment process
Where it appears in MyMFG:
After selecting the plan, before submitting the application.
HOW TO CHECK ACA CONSENT STATUS
To verify whether consents have been sent and/or signed:
Go to the CLIENT tab (top navigation)
Select CLIENT SIGNATURES
Review the consent status under the applicable ACA consent tabs
