MyMFG 2-Step Authentication (2FA)

CMS requires two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into an Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) platform such as MyMFG.

When you log in, a verification code is sent via text message (SMS) to your registered phone number. Email cannot be used to receive verification codes.

Important guidelines

  • Each agent must register their own unique phone number.

  • Sharing a phone number to receive authentication codes is not permitted.

  • A verification code will be sent to the new phone number when it is updated.

Not receiving a text?

If you are not receiving your SMS verification code, select the Call Me option on the verification screen. An automated phone call will be placed to your registered number and the verification code will be repeated three times. If you miss the call, a voicemail will be left with the code.

A text message is always sent first, even when the Call Me option is selected. Codes expire after a short period — requesting a new code will invalidate any previous code.

How to update your phone number

To update the phone number used for MyMFG 2-Step Authentication:

  1. Call Producer Support at (866) 568-9649 and ask to have your current verified phone number cleared. Chat is not available for this, because it requires you to be signed in.

  2. On your next login, the MFA setup prompt will appear. Use it to enter and verify your new phone number.
