Entering a client's doctors, prescriptions, and pharmacy in MyMFG does not automatically filter or remove plans from quote results. All available plans for the client still appear. Doctors, prescriptions, and pharmacy information are stored in the client profile to support plan comparison — how and when that information is used during the quoting process differs between ACA and Medicare.
ACA
For ACA quoting, prescriptions, providers, and pharmacy information saved in a client's profile do not carry over into the Quick Quote flow. During the application process, agents can manually add doctors and prescriptions directly within the application. Once added, agents select the plan their client is interested in and review the plan details — including the drug formulary and provider network — to determine whether specific drugs are covered and whether doctors are in-network.
Medicare
For Medicare quoting, prescriptions, providers, and pharmacy information stored in the client profile are available throughout the quote and enroll process. During quoting, agents select which items to include by clicking a checkmark next to each prescription, provider, or pharmacy they want to carry into the quote. Once plans are returned, agents select a plan and review the plan details and formulary to confirm drug coverage, provider network status, and pharmacy coverage.
In both cases, reviewing plan details to confirm coverage is a manual step completed by the agent.
Drug Lookup Tool — Prescriptions Only
The drug lookup tool in MyMFG supports prescribed medications only. Durable medical equipment (DME) is not searchable in the MyMFG drug lookup tool and will not appear in search results.
To find out what durable medical equipment is covered under a specific plan, agents should refer to the plan's documents and formulary directly.
If a prescription medication that should be listed in MyMFG cannot be found, contact Producer Support by sending a message via chat directly from your account or by calling (866) 568-9649.
