NCD Enrollment Guide & Overview

Learn about the vision and dental plans offered and the application/submission process in MyMFG.

Agent Requirements

  • Agents must be Ready to Sell (RTS) with NCD.

  • Agents must contact Producer Support to ensure their Writing Number is added to their profile.


Quoting Process

This guide walks through how to begin the quoting process for NCD products on MyMFG, step by step.

Step 1: Click Quote/Enroll in the navigation bar in MyMFG.

Step 2: Choose an existing client or add a new one, then select the product NCD.

Note: Once NCD has been selected, more options appear to fill out. The products Dental and Vision will be preselected. The Effective Date will automatically be set to the first date of the next month. However, Coverage Level will appear blank. Coverage Level indicates who in the household should receive coverage.

Step 3: Select a Coverage Level for the quote.

Step 4: Click on Start Quote.

Note: Dental and Vision products, Effective Date and Coverage Level can all be adjusted on while plan shopping without having to start a new quote.


Plan Shopping

NCD offers two product types, Dental and Vision plans. Only one plan per product can be chosen at a time to enroll in.

Vision Plans

There is currently only one Vision plan available right now, VSP Preferred Plan by NCD.

Dental Plans

Dental plans are separated into three categories:

Note: All three Core and Elite plans offer state specific documents (Benefit Summary and Dental Plan Overview) for Connecticut/New York.

Plan Details

To learn more about a plan, the agent can view the plan details while plan shopping to help narrow down the options and identify a plan that fits the consumer's needs.

After clicking on the View Details button on a plan, the user can see:

Costs

  • Deductible cost that applies to Basic & Major Services.

  • Calendar Year Maximum cost that applies to Preventive, Basic & Major Services.

  • Monthly cost for the plan.

    • The NWFA Membership Fee is included in the monthly cost.

Services (For Dental)

This section includes the following information for Preventive Services (Type A), Basic Services (Type B), and Major Services (Type C):

  • How much the plan pays.

  • Waiting period.

  • Included services/procedures.

Services (For Vision)

  • Eye Exam

  • Lenses/Materials

  • Contact Lens Evaluation & Fitting

Plan Link and Documents

  • Link to find a provider

  • Link to the Benefit Summary document

  • Link to the Detailed Product Overview document

Other

There will also be information and resources about various items such as Plan Network and NWFA Membership details.

Consumer Quote Information

The client name, zip code, and date of birth will be displayed within the sidebar along with the Effective Date, Coverage Level and Products. The Effective Date, Coverage Level and Products can be altered while plan shopping without having to start a new quote.

  • Effective Date must be after the current date and it must be on the first day of the month.

  • Coverage Level has four options, Member Only, Member + Spouse, Member + Children, Family.

  • Products has two options, Dental and Vision, either product can be removed and added back. When a product is removed, the plans are removed from the page. When a product is added, the plans are visible on the page.


Enrollment Process

This guide walks through how to begin and complete an enrollment for NCD products on MyMFG, step by step.

Step 1: Confirm Personal Information and Residential Address is filled out completely and correctly. Applicable fields will be pulled from the client profile if they exist.

Step 2: Click Save and Continue to Payment

Step 3: On the Payment Information page, fill out the Account Number, Routing Number and check the applicant acknowledgement.

Note: Currently we only permit ACH payment methods, specifically Checking accounts only. Bank Name is not required for submission.

Step 4: Click Submit.

Once the agent submits the enrollment successfully, there will be a receipt page that gathers the consumer's information, plan summary and agent information.


Reports

Agents are able to view past NCD enrollments and applications. If the application is not completed, they have the ability to resume the enrollment. Find the NCD Enrollment report under Other → NCD Enrollments or Other → Reports → NCD Enrollments.
