New Agent Account Setup

Step-by-step setup instructions for new agents after contracting with Messer, including requesting carrier contracts in SureLC, confirming Ready to Sell status, creating a Messer Agent Center profile, and gaining access to MyMFG.

Written by Micaela Caruccio

After you have contracted with Messer Financial Group, complete the following steps to set up your agent account and gain access to MyMFG. Complete these steps in order, since each step depends on the one before it.

Step 1: Request Your Carrier Contracts in SureLC

Log into your SureLC account and go to the Contracting Requests page to request contracts with the carriers you want to sell for. For step-by-step instructions, see How to Create a Contracting Request.

If you have trouble logging into SureLC, see the SureLC Login FAQ.

Step 2: Watch for Carrier Onboarding Emails

After you submit a contracting request in SureLC, check your email daily, including your spam or junk folder, for carrier onboarding emails.

Onboarding emails may not come directly from the carrier. If you are unsure whether an email is a legitimate carrier onboarding email, contact Producer Support before responding to it.

Step 3: Confirm Ready to Sell (RTS) Status Before Selling

Do not sell a carrier's products until you have received Ready to Sell (RTS) status for that carrier. Selling before you are RTS can result in compliance issues with the carrier.

To check the status of a contracting request, email [email protected].

Step 4: Create Your Messer Agent Center Profile

Go to messerfinancial.com/agent-login to create your Messer Agent Center profile. Allow 24 hours for your profile to be verified. Once verified, you will have access to agent resources such as Medicare and ACA certifications, commission and bonus information, quote tools, and the carrier index.

Note: The Messer Agent Center is not the same as the eAgent Center. The eAgent Center only manages commission statements and tax documents. For more information, see the E-Agent Center — Commission Portal Guide.

Step 5: Gain Access to MyMFG

MyMFG access is granted once you are contracted with Messer, have an active SureLC account, and are Ready to Sell (RTS) with at least three carriers. For full details, see MyMFG Access Requirements.

Step 6: Consider Enrolling in a Messer Program (Optional)

Joining a Messer program is not required, but agents who participate in ACA Star, Medicare Star, or All In receive additional benefits, such as a free client-facing enrollment website and discounted or free AHIP. For program details, see Messer's 3 Agent Programs.
