MyMFG 2-Step Authentication (2FA): Phone Number Updates & Backup Options

CMS requires two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into MyMFG and other Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) platforms. This helps keep your account secure.


How MyMFG 2FA Works

When you log in:

  • A verification code is sent via text message (SMS) to your registered phone number

  • Email cannot be used to receive verification codes


Not Receiving a Text? Use the Phone Call Option

If you’re having trouble receiving your SMS verification code, you can choose to receive it by automated phone call.

How the Phone Call Option Works

  • Select the “Call Me” option on the verification screen

  • You will receive an immediate automated phone call

  • The verification code will be repeated 3 times

  • If you miss the call, a voicemail will be left with your code

Important Notes

  • A text message is always sent first, even if you choose the call option

  • You can use the phone call option as a backup or preference

  • For security:

    • Codes expire after a short period of time

    • Requesting a new code will invalidate any previous code


Important 2FA Guidelines

  • Each agent must use their own unique phone number

  • Sharing phone numbers is not permitted

  • A verification code will be sent when your phone number is updated


How to Update Your Phone Number

To update the phone number used for MyMFG 2FA:

  • Click “Talk to an Agent” in MyMFG, or

  • Call the Producer Support Team: 866-568-9649
