MyMFG 2-Step Authentication (2FA): Phone Number Updates & Backup Options
CMS requires two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into MyMFG and other Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) platforms. This helps keep your account secure.
How MyMFG 2FA Works
When you log in:
A verification code is sent via text message (SMS) to your registered phone number
Email cannot be used to receive verification codes
Not Receiving a Text? Use the Phone Call Option
If you’re having trouble receiving your SMS verification code, you can choose to receive it by automated phone call.
How the Phone Call Option Works
Select the “Call Me” option on the verification screen
You will receive an immediate automated phone call
The verification code will be repeated 3 times
If you miss the call, a voicemail will be left with your code
Important Notes
A text message is always sent first, even if you choose the call option
You can use the phone call option as a backup or preference
For security:
Codes expire after a short period of time
Requesting a new code will invalidate any previous code
Important 2FA Guidelines
Each agent must use their own unique phone number
Sharing phone numbers is not permitted
A verification code will be sent when your phone number is updated

To update the phone number used for MyMFG 2FA:
